As a psychiatrist and psychotherapist I offer adult clients psychotherapy services with medication management when needed. I believe that recovery/wellness requires thorough, compassionate work on the part of the physician and patient to address underlying root causes of symptoms. We will begin our work with a careful assessment of your underlying concerns, taking into account both psychological and physical determinants of your mental health.

After our initial meetings, we will work together to decide on a treatment approach that best fits your needs. This will include a discussion of psychotherapy approaches, evidence-based medication strategies (as indicated), along with a discussion of lifestyle interventions (diet, exercise, social connection, etc.) that are known to improve your condition. Our ongoing collaboration will focus on fine tuning our plan, self-exploration, building self-awareness, identifying strengths, and developing skills that increase resilience.

For assessments related to specific medication related questions, I also provide consultation services to primary care or specialty care physicians to make recommendations for medication management or the management of complex clinical issues. A referral from your primary or specialty care physician is helpful to facilitate this.
